The church in Palmerston North came into existence in 1971. Several believers had seen that we should meet on the ground of oneness and decided to meet together to practise the church life. After fellowshipping with brother Witness Lee who visited New Zealand in 1971, it was felt that they should migrate to Auckland in 1972. Later, some believers in Palmerston North contacted the church life through the church in Feilding and they began to meet with the church in Feilding. In 1979, the believers in Palmerston North began to meet as the church in Palmerston North for the second time and we have been here ever since! In the recent years, we have had an influx of believers who are Asian immigrants. Thus in the church life here we have people from several ethnic groups. “Though we are many, yet we are one Body”. This is really a testimony to the enemy of God: “Where there cannot be Greek and Jew…but Christ is all and in all”-Col 3:11. We have both English and Chinese speaking meetings in our locality. |
